She pretended to be terribly surprised:
— Oh, you are all here? How unexpected! But her voice was completely fake, fake, and it became clear to everyone that she had planned everything in advance.
She didn’t even look at me, walked past and, as if it was her holiday, took a seat in the front row.
I wasn’t just offended — I was bursting with rage. After all, I was the bride here.
This was my day. And she decided to turn it into a theater of jealousy, to show everyone that her son supposedly belonged only to her.
I saw how the guests laughed, looked at me with pity, which made me feel doubly hurt.
I clenched my teeth and decided: I won’t remain silent. After the ceremony, I did something that made my mother-in-law deeply regret wearing a white dress and coming here at all
When the ceremony was over, I approached her. I had a bottle of red wine in my hands.
I opened it and, without thinking for a second, poured the entire contents right on her head.
The guests gasped, the mother-in-law screamed, and I, looking her straight in the eyes, said:
– Remember, you are no longer the mistress of his life. Stop interfering with everything with your control mania.
You look pathetic – an old woman who put on a white dress to prove that she is still important. But know one thing: today is my day, and I will be next to him.
And you will remain a laughing stock for everyone.
She turned pale, wanted to answer something, but I interrupted:
– Take off the crown from your head at last. Your performance is over. After that, I turned away and went to my husband.
And the guests… they began to applaud.
