Our 4-year-old son knows him.
I don’t.
After a recent visit, my little boy came home… different. Quiet. Fidgety.
I knelt beside him, sensing something was off.
“What’s wrong, buddy?”
At first, he wouldn’t meet my eyes.
Just played nervously with his jacket zipper.
Then, in the smallest voice, he whispered:
“Mason said… not to call you Daddy anymore.”
I froze.
“Who’s Mason?”
“He’s Mommy’s friend. He said it makes him feel weird when I say ‘Daddy.’ He said I should call him Dad instead.”
