My dad looked into my eyes and said, “You don’t have to stay with someone who hurts you.
You and your baby will always have me.
I will be here to protect you both.” At that moment, my tears stopped.
Not because the pain was gone, but because I finally felt safe and supported. With my dad’s help, I built a new life for me and my daughter — one filled with love, security, and hope.
Looking back, I realize my father didn’t just give me a place to live or a way out — he gave me back my strength.
And he was right: from that day forward, I never cried the same tears again.
