I’m still trying to process everything that happened this week.
Our company had one of those “mandatory” team-building outings scheduled for Friday, but honestly, I was just burnt out. I’m a high-performer, but I’m not a “forced fun” person.
So, I decided to be proactive and filed for official leave on Thursday and Friday.
I just wanted a long weekend to recharge. My boss absolutely lost it.
He cornered me in the break room and basically tried to scare me into submission.
He told me, “HR will destroy you for this!
